Abstract

This is a descriptive theoretical study, based on the Historical - logical and Analysis and synthesis methods, to make a foray into the evolution of ecotourism in Angola. It presents results on the performance of the tourism economy in Angola characterized by a sharp reduction in tourists, motivated, in part, by the economic recession and, also, by the lack of tourism development strategies that prevent the country from being a tourist destination. Based on the Rio 92 goals and the 2030 Millennium Development Agenda, ecotourism can generate jobs, social development and a new attitude and awareness of sustainability. This requires a joint effort. This is the objective of this research: to present the challenges for the sustainable development of ecotourism in Angola.
