Abstract

 Apostles and global forerunners of philosophical historiography, the various Commentaries on the Aristotelian Course Jesuit Conimbricense, collected between the end of the 16th century and the middle of the 17th century, impose a certain relevance on a national level. Thanks to its global impact, the same happens at the international level. As one of the most dignified projects of the Second Scholastics, this informative and appreciative article will explore the origin of the Society of Jesus, its path in Portugal and the consequential works, of a strict and specific nature, also indicating its importance to a philosophical, religious, educational and even cultural level.
