Abstract

There is a great consensus about the proportionality between friendship ties, individual and collective well-being, and effective action in the various scenarios of human coexistence and social interaction. Neither science nor science teaching would be the exception. It is confirmed by Science and Society Studies. The article argues about friendship as epistemic and social capital. It is warned, moreover, that enmity, the homophily of friendship and friendship partiality, can lead to epistemic irresponsibility, the same way, affect the social production of scientific knowledge.
