Pensamento Português no século XX: A “Renascença Portuguesa” na figura de Teixeira Pascoaes

Abstract

In a context where the epoch´s ideals were undergoing transformations; the past is ruptured and the Portuguese Renaissance movement emerges. It is in this period of upheaval that the magazine A Águia and Arte de Ser Português by Teixeira de Pascoaes erupt. Both of them, reinvented the Portuguese Thought in the twentieth century, like nostalgia; the metaphysical; the notion of Portugality; the pantheistic idea or even the concept of patriotism, whose reflection contributes to the start of the Renaissance period. The Portuguese Renaissance in the special figure of Teixeira Pascoaes adds to the shift in the level of art and literature.
