Abstract

This article on the foundations of the Angolan national liberation process focuses on the goals pursued by this process and the challenges it currently faces. The objective of this research is to analyze the contradictions, fragmentations, and challenges of the different stages of the national liberation process, not as a failure of thought, but as a moment of recognition of the limits of knowledge, leading to continuous investigation. The theoretical-methodological perspective is to describe the experiences and perceptions of people, political, intellectual, social, and religious groups, and to understand the meaning they give to the national liberation process. At the end of the theoretical-reflective dialogues, it was understood that there is an emerging need for the opening of a new Angola, starting from a change in political mentality, strengthening education, developing human capital, making the economy more autonomous, improving social conditions, and valuing national culture.
