THE MYTH OF THE FLOOD: in the Works Atrahais, Gilgames and the Bible

Abstract

With the present work we propose to present a part of the narratives about the destruction of the world by water, transcribed during the pre-classical period, probably based on legends of oral tradition, and to discuss the existence of different myths about the Flood or the intertextuality in the works analysed.
